Quality communication enhances Coastal Carolina University's image and accurately conveys the University's mission to all constituencies including current and future students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff, potential donors and the community.

To assure consistency in visual and editorial communication, the Office of University Communication prepares and reviews all University materials for external audiences. Classroom materials and personal correspondence are exempt. The Office of University Communication is responsible for assuring that all items meet writing, editing and design standards, and comply with University graphic identity standards.

The University name, logo, athletic logo and seal among other secondary marks are registered and have full trademark protection. Usage of the University's visual marks are carefully controlled and monitored through the trademark licensing program administered through the Office of University Communication.
