Coastal Carolina University has rescheduled its fundraising powder-puff football tournament to Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. The game was originally planned for Feb. 18. The new rain date is March 4.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will help support the Children’s Miracle Network. Donations will be accepted during the tournament, which will be held on Coastal’s Intramural Fields, adjacent to Santee Resident Hall.

Coastal’s Leadership Development Council teamed with the Student Government Association to organize the games, which will include females on the field and males on the sidelines. Several teams consisting of Coastal students will compete with males serving as coaches and cheerleaders to raise morale.

The Leadership Development Council expects the tournament will become an annual event. Spectators are urged to bring their own seating. The rain date for the tournament is Feb. 25.
