Globalism expert to speak at Coastal Carolina University

Stephan Richter, a leading strategists on the subject of globalization, will give a talk on “Globalization and America's Future” Thursday, April 20 at 6 p.m. in room 256 of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building on the Coastal Carolina University campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Richter is publisher and editor-in-chief of “The Globalist,” a daily online feature service on global economy, politics and culture. He is also founder and president of TransAtlantic Futures Inc., a Washington-based global strategy, media and education firm established in 1989.

Richter, who received a law degree from the University of Bonn, Germany, in 1984, has advised governments and international organizations as well as foundations, corporations and individuals around the world on global strategy issues.

A columnist for Les Echos, France's leading financial daily, Richter also writes for the Financial Times Deutschland and other publications including the Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, Le Monde and Foreign Affairs. He has appeared on PBS's “News Hour with Jim Lehrer” and is a frequent guest on National Public Radio.
