Coastal's Wall Board of Visitors taps four new members

Four South Carolina business people have been appointed to the Board of Visitors of the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

They are: William F. Cave of Georgetown, Theresa R. Gebhardt of Charlotte, N.C., George H. Goldfinch Jr. of Conway and Kenan S. Walker of Myrtle Beach.

Cave is managing director of Reliance Financial Corporation, headquartered in Atlanta. He earned a political science degree from the University of South Carolina and attended Furman, Dartmouth and Harvard universities. He is a member of the Cultural Council of Georgetown County, Tidelands Hospice and Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art.

Gebhardt is executive director of Cato Management LLC. Prior to joining the Cato Corp., she was a tax specialist at Coopers and Lybrand in Charlotte. She was also employed by New South Inc. in Conway. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Coastal. She is a certified public accountant and certified financial planner and is currently pursuing her real estate license.

Goldfinch, president of Goldfinch Funeral Services Inc., is a member of the S.C. Funeral Directors Association, the Conway Kiwanis Club, the Conway Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of trustees for the Conway Medical Center, Conway National Bank and United Way. He attended Coastal from 1970 to 1972 and earned a bachelor's degree at the University of South Carolina.

Walker is employed by Waccamaw Land and Timber Co. He was previously a major gifts officer at Coastal and the program director for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C. He earned a bachelor's degree at the College of Charleston in 1999.

Members of Wall Board of Visitors advise the College of Business and assist Coastal in seeking resources and support for the college and the university.
