The faculty and staff at the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University are working diligently to keep their students, faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates engaged and informed during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the building may be closed, the Wall College is still operating and has become acclimated to the current virtual way of life.

From videos about adjusting to online study, exercise tips, and working from home to virtual conferences for students and Instagram faculty takeovers, those in the Wall College are ensuring students and constituents are staying connected during this unprecedented time.

One of the platforms created to engage and educate on how the business world is coping during the COVID-19 pandemic is "Wall College Wires."

Created by Yoav Wachsman, Ph.D., professor of economics and assistant dean in the Wall College, "Wall College Wires" serves as a viable resource for CCU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and supporters.

The videos, created by business faculty members who are well-respected experts in their fields, provide helpful tips, knowledge, and updates to help people navigate life during these stressful and uncertain times. Topics include investing during a crisis; the psychological effects of change; small business assistance; and more.

"I created Wall College Wires as a means of communication and education for our students and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Wachsman. "My hope is these videos will help the viewers cope with the current situation by providing them with truthful and practical information from Wall College faculty."

Recent topics of "wires" include COVID1-9 and the psychological effects of change; entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 crisis; and investing during a crisis.

The Wall College is also currently creating a podcast titled "Beyond the Wall," which will debut in the coming weeks. The podcast will be geared toward students covering topics ranging from professional development and career advice to business news and current events.
