Archaeological demonstration with Cheryl Ward Bookmark and Share

Cheryl Ward, director of CCU's Center for Archaeology and Anthropology, will be demonstrating an archaeological excavation. She guided a group of students on the University's first field trip this summer at the refuge.

Wild About Waccamaw is the annual end-of-summer wildlife celebration for the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. All activities will take place at the Visitor Center overlooking the PeeDee River and Yauhannah Lake.

Bring the family, relax by the river and enjoy the wonders of nature. All ages are welcome.

There'll be free food and drinks, a live reptile show, self-guided trail walks and guided kayaking tours (reservations required, fee charged) on the Pee Dee River.
