Spring Festival Guest Artist Recital

Jasmine Choi, flutist, opens the South Carolina Flute Society Spring Festival with a recital of traditional and contemporary music for flute and piano. Selected as one of the top 10 flutists in music history — along with Marcel Moyse, Jean-Pierre Rampal, James Galway and Emmanuel Pahud — by Sinfini Magazine UK in 2015, Choi is a full-time soloist performing more than 100 concerts each season. As the last pupil of the late Julius Baker, former principal of the New York Philharmonic, as well as Jeffrey Khaner, principal of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Choi has studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School. She has recorded several solo CDs under the Sony Classical label.

The South Carolina Flute Society Spring Festival takes place Saturday, April 7, in locations throughout the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building. For more information, visit scflute.org.
