30-MINUTE RELIGION TALKS

Did the Exodus Happen?
Wednesday, Sept. 19, 5 p.m.
In the first of this new public lecture series, Alan W. Todd, CCU lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, has 30 minutes to answer the question, “Did the Exodus actually happen?” Throughout this academic investigation, Todd will ask questions and uncover the facets that have created one of the most famous narratives in history.

Todd’s scholarly research interests include the relationship between the performances of the feasts and the construction of early Jewish identities, Jewish and Christian biblical exegesis in antiquity, and archaeology of the Greco-Roman world. Todd earned his Ph.D. in religious studies at Duke University.
