Carl Sagan Day Lecture with Janna Levin Bookmark and Share

In celebration of science and space exploration, CCU marks the birthday of the late American astronomer, cosmologist, author and public intellectual Carl Sagan with the second annual Carl Sagan Day lecture by guest scholar Janna Levin. 

Levin earned her Ph.D. in theoretical physics from MIT in1993 and is a leading expert on black holes, gravitational waves and the cosmology of extra dimensions. She is the Tow Professor of physics and astronomy at Barnard College of Columbia University and director of sciences at Pioneer Works. Her novel, A Madman Dreams of Turing Machines, won the PEN Bingham Fellowship Prize for Writers.
