Feb 14

6 p.m. @ Brittain 112

Carol Hay, associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, will speak about her seminal research work at the junction of ethics and feminist theory. Her focus will be on how we can re-purpose the major modern ethical traditions of liberalism and Kantian deontology for the project of resisting and replacing unjust forms of social and political oppression such as sexism, racism and classism. A discussion will follow the lecture.
