Duo Piano Recital Bookmark and Share

Guest artists Myungsook Song Stoudenmire and Janet Elshazly present a piano recital of duo and solo performances. Repertoire includes Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Tres Romances Argentinos by Carlos Guastavino; Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens; and Three Waltzes for Two Pianos, a medley of waltzes featured in Disney films, arranged by Greg Anderson.
Stoudenmire, originally from South Korea, is a member of the piano faculty at the Horton School of Music at Charleston Southern University. Stoudenmire earned a DMA from the University of South Carolina, a master's degree from Columbia College and BA and MM degrees from Sungshin Women's University in Seoul.
Elshazly is visiting assistant professor of music and faculty accompianist at the Horton School of Music at Charleston Southern University. Originally from Chicago, Elshazly earned a DMA from the Catholic University of America, a MM from the University of Illinois and a BM from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Since 2011, Stoudenmire and Elshazly have presented duo performances in venues that include the Newberry Opera House and the Piccolo Spoleto Spotlight Concert Series.
