A composer collapses one day to awaken in a hospital surrounded by his lover, his mother, a co-worker, the doctor and the nurses. He had been reluctantly composing a song for a children’s television show that features a frog named Dr. Bungee, and the specter of this figure and the unfinished work haunts him throughout his medical trauma. A New Brain explores the creative mind in the process of recovery and the deep yearning for the fulfillment of life’s dreams.
