TDSE: Gender and Popular Culture
Apr 10
9-10:30 a.m. @ Atheneum Hall Room 105 - Alford Ballroom
Free but registration required
Popular culture is never simply entertainment. It provides us with the stories, images, and scripts that enable us to imagine and practice our identities. This session teaches students how popular culture generates and articulates our understandings of gender and sexuality and their intersections with other identity markers such as race, class, and ability.
