  • Jadallah appointed interim dean for SCOE

    Provost Robert Sheehan announced the appointment of Edward Jadallah, associate professor and chair of the Department of Leadership, Middle Level & MAT – Secondary Education, as interim dean of the Spadoni College of Education.

    Jadallah has agreed to serve as interim dean through the NCATE Accreditation process. Jadallah is a seasoned administrator, having served as chair of the teacher education faculty (TEF) at the University of Maine before joining CCU in Fall 2010.

    Jadallah earned bachelors’ degrees in history and psychology from Malone College in 1974, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Bowling Green State University in 1981 and a Ph.D. in teacher education and social studies education from Ohio State University in 1984.

    He has been published in such journals as Teacher Education Quarterly and the Journal of Research in Rural Education. Jadallah has spoken at numerous conferences internationally, such as the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association, the annual meeting of the Association of Teacher Education and the annual meeting of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.

  • CCU employees get cultural, golf discounts

    In response to administrative action from Faculty Senate, Coastal Carolina University full- and part-time permanent faculty and staff will have the opportunity to attend cultural arts programs and play golf at Quail Creek Golf Club at reduced rates. More specifically, qualifying faculty and staff may:

    •  Purchase half-price “rush” tickets on the day of the performance for the University’s cultural arts programs, based on ticket availability.
    •  Play 18 holes at Quail Creek Golf Club for a year-round flat rate of $20 per round, including greens and cart fees, based on course availability. This price is available only for faculty and staff play.

  • Equipment check-out through Media Services

    Media Services recently developed a new website for checking out equipment. The new site is now live, and the former site is no longer active.

    Anyone who has requested equipment for spring semester will now need to resubmit that request, as all previously submitted requests were lost.

    There are three options for submitting your request:

    2) Go to and click on "Equipment Check-Out."

    3) Go to and under "Media Services” click on "Request for Equipment."
