  • Scott to give commencement addresss

    U.S. Sen. Tim Scott will give the address at Coastal Carolina University’s Spring 2013 commencement ceremony, scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11, at Brooks Stadium. Approximately 950 students are eligible to participate in the ceremony, which recognizes May 2013 candidates for graduation. 

  • Wallace receives Branham award

    Desmond Wallace of Myrtle Beach is the 2013 recipient of the James Branham History Award, which recognizes the top graduate of Coastal Carolina University's history program.

  • CCU makes Princeton Review's green college list

    Coastal Carolina University is one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in the U.S. and Canada, according to “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges," released April 16.

  • CCU students invited to Washington, D.C., for Posters on the Hill

    Coastal Carolina University is the only university in the state of South Carolina to be invited to participate in the prestigious 2013 Posters on the Hill program, an annual research competition sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research held in Washington, D.C. The 2013 event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24.

  • Coastal Carolina Kids Camp offered at CCU

    The annual Coastal Carolina Kids Camp is accepting registrations for children, ages 6-12, to attend the creative camp activities, held at Coastal Carolina University's Myrtle Beach Education Center at 79th Avenue North and U.S. 17 Bypass.

  • CCU receives green award from Carolina Recycling

    Coastal Carolina University was honored with the Outstanding College or University Program Award by the Carolina Recycling Association during its annual conference and trade show on April 10 in Myrtle Beach.

  • Undergraduate Research Competition awards announced

    Forty-eight presentations were delivered by students from 15 majors across campus in the Fifth Annual CCU Undergraduate Research Competition, held April 17 and 18 in the Coastal Science Center.


  • CCU Student Involvement and Leadership award winners announced

    Awards for student leadership and organizational achievement were presented recently at CCU’s annual Student Involvement and Leadership Awards ceremony, which honors students, professors and various student organizations for the 2012-2013 academic year. 


  • Faculty presented research at annual Scholars' Symposium

    Nine CCU professors made presentations in the second annual Post-Reassignment Scholars' Symposium on May 2 in Brittain Hall. They presented research they conducted while on scholarly reassignment in 2012. For a list of this year's participants, go to:
