Feel the Teal - A happy new year

Happy New Year, Teal Nation!

I would like to take this opportunity at the beginning of the new year to extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all of our employees’ accomplishments and achievements during 2015, specifically in the area of Feel the Teal®. Last year was a great year, and we have seen positive results from Feel the Teal, with more to come.

Last year concluded with the implementation of the final training module, the Feel the Teal Celebration; 185 people have attended four sessions of module eight. This training module provides valuable two-way communication and the opportunity to discuss recent decisions and policies as they affect employees and our service at CCU. Several changes have been made as a result of the feedback we have received from employees, and we will continue to make improvements that will positively impact the University for years to come.

Plans for the upcoming year include a Feel the Teal element focused on the students, continued research and data collection as to our efforts relate to retention numbers, and adding refresher and/or supplemental service training courses for faculty and staff. We will continue to focus on service excellence and student success within every area of the institution in 2016. I am sure with our employees’ dedication and commitment, we will be able to continue the momentum of our service excellence initiative and make sure that more people Feel the Teal.

Thank you for all of your support with Feel the Teal. I look forward to the new year and our continued success with service excellence at Coastal Carolina University!
