Transitive Geographies

July 15 - Aug. 27

Closing Reception Thursday, Aug. 26, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Transitive Geographies is a contemporary art exhibition featuring 21 artworks by artists Annie Kammerer Butrus (Birmingham, Ala.), Cynthia Farnell (Conway), Donna Mintz (Atlanta) and Michel Varisco (New Orleans). These paintings, ink drawings, photographs and mixed media installations were selected by curator Shannon Morris of the Georgia College and State University Museum to illustrate certain ecological and cultural changes that persist throughout the Southeastern United States as the population center continues to shift in its direction. The exhibit premiered at Georgia College and State University Museum and will travel to venues in Birmingham and New Orleans.
