CCU Advising Seminar Bookmark and Share

Aug 5

9 a.m. to noon @ Kline Hospitality Suite

John Yannessa, faculty member in the School of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Studies who is also chair of the university-wide Retention Committee, invites faculty to the second annual CCU Advising Seminar, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Aug. 5 in the Kline Hospitality Suite of Brooks Stadium. The three-hour workshop will provide in-depth information regarding student advising. Information about the core curriculum, transfer student issues and financial aid and legal issues relative to advising students will be offered. There will be time to answer questions pertaining to advising.

As an incentive to attend, those faculty that serve in an advising role and also serve in a nine-month position will receive $150 for their time. Others who do not serve in a nine-month slot (such as a full-time 12 month faculty/staff) are welcome to attend, but would not be eligible for the stipend. However, all participants will receive lunch following the session. The stipend will be available to the first 45, non-12 month faculty/staff who RSVP to the event.
