Teal Nation Welcome Required Programming

During Teal Nation Welcome, there are required events for incoming students. These are descriptions and details for the required events:

FYE (Freshman Residential Student) University Housing Community Meeting 

On August 19 at 8:00pm students will have the opportunity to connect with their Resident Assistant and learn more about the CCU campus culture. 

•  The Game of CHANT Life 

Join us for a fun and engaging way to learn about your university and how to begin to put the U in CCU! If you know pop culture trivia and CCU facts, you may show up your friends and even win some cash!

•  Department Meetings

In these meetings you will learn more about your major from your academic department chair.

Convocation T-Shirt Pickup

Students can pick up their convocation t-shirts on August 22 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Prince Lawn. On Prince Lawn there will be tents located near the entrance of the bridge where students will be able to pick up their t-shirt. 

New Student Class Photo

Join the rest of the incoming class on August 22 at Brooks Stadium, grab a snack, and fill in the formation on the teal turf as you and your classmates participate in one of your first new student traditions!

Students should report to the assigned gates at Brooks stadium wearing their convocation t-shirt by 2:45pm:

Gate 1: Wall College of Business

Gate 2: Last Names A-G

Gate 4: Last Names H-O

Gate 6: Last Names P-Z

Immediately following the photo, you will be led over to the HTC Center for convocation.

New Student Convocation

Convocation is taking place at HTC on Tuesday, August 22. Students will be walked from the New Student Class Photo in Brooks Stadium to HTC for convocation. Convocation begins at 5:00pm and students should arrive at HTC no later than 4:45pm. Incoming transfer students are invited to attend, but it is not required. First-year students should wear their convocation t-shirt that they will pick up at Organization Kickoff Day (OK Day) on Tuesday, August 22 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
