Family Orientation for 2021 Admits
Student Transitions and Family Programs will offer a hybrid Family Orientation experience in order for us to share information with you about the University as well as tools to help you and your student make a smooth transition to Coastal Carolina University. We will be sending all registered family members virtual content to view, provide Q&A opportunities throughout the summer, and on campus programming during move-in where you will be invited to connect with family members of other incoming students as well as University administrators.
The cost for our hybrid family orientation experience is $20 per family member.
Components of the 2021 Family Orientation
Virtual Asynchronous Experience
Just as your student will learn content about the University through online orientation, the same content will be available to you. You will have the opportunity to learn about many of the offices, academic departments, and services available to support your student and their success at CCU. Once registered for the program, access information will be shared with you.
Virtual Synchronous Experience (Teal Tuesday Talks)
We will offer live Q&A webinars from July 6 through August 10 in order to make sure all of your questions are answered by the experts in those areas. If you aren’t available for the live session on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., you will be able to view the content on demand starting the next day. An email will be sent to all family orientation registrants the Friday before the session. If you do not receive that link, do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. The topics and dates for these sessions can be found on our Teal Tuesday Talks schedule.
On-campus Synchronous Experience
During the move-in period, the Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs will offer various orientation sessions designed specifically for family members. Once the move-in dates for 2021 are announced, a schedule will be linked on this page.
