Components of the 2021 Family Orientation

Family Online Orientation (Virtual Asynchronous)

This self-paced orientation will allow provide a comprehensive overview of programs and services available to your student at CCU. This online orientation experience is the exact same module that your student is required to complete. We find it helpful for family members to see and experience the same information and delivery method, as it allows for post-experience discussion and reinforces our desire to partner with you in supporting your student’s success.

Teal Tuesday Talks (Virtual Synchronous)

Our series of live Q&A webinars are designed specifically for new CHANT family members. Each webinar covers content that was shared with your student during their synchronous orientation. You will hear from the experts for each topic and have the opportunity to get answers to your related questions. The first Teal Tuesday Talk is scheduled for July 6 and will take place each week through August 10 at 7pm EST. Follow this link to view the complete 2021 Teal Tuesday Talks schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend New Student Orientation with my student?

Due to COVID-19 precautions, we are unable to host family members on campus during New Student Orientation this summer.

If your student is unable to commute to campus on their own on the scheduled orientation date, please plan on departing campus immediately after dropping them off. Visit our website in mid-June to explore some local attractions available to occupy your time while your student engages in new student orientation.

The Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs thanks you in advance for your understanding and support of our efforts to gradually increase socially distant in-person programming as we move ever closer to the fall semester and the final stages of the Coastal Comeback Plan.
