Interested in playing intramural sports? In the fall, we offer flag football, ultimate Frisbee, whiffle ball and, of course, sand volleyball. come try your hand at sand volleball next to the Woods residence halls, meet other students and learn about registering and playing other intramural sports this year.

If playing pool is of interest to you, enter the CINO TIE Tourney and meet other students who share the same interest. 
Show up at the Game Room at 11 a.m. to enter and get your name on the bracket. The pool tournament will be played 
in teams of two.

Take a break to let out your inner srtist. Come enjoy canvas painting and chill before the semester starts. 
Noon to 6 p.m. Beach Bash
Lakewood Campground
Grab a beach towel, sunscreen and a few friends and enjoy an afternoon at the beach and the Lakewood Campground. 
Transportation will be provided. Shuttles will be running to the beach from the Tradition Lawn Pavillion, starting at noon. 
The last shuttle will leave at 4:30 p.m. and return to campus at 6 p.m.

HTC Outdoor Recreation Center
Join University Recreation for a mountain-bike ride! Meet at the Outdoor Center and ride through the trails of the
Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. With three tracks to choose from, this is a great ride for beginners or experienced
riders interested in the local trails. Fifteen spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
4 p.m. Video Game Streaming with Kimbel Library
Kimbel Library is going virtual for CINO TIE 2021 with a video game streaming extravaganza on Facebook Live. 
Join us for four hours of fun as we team up and play some of the hottest games out there. 
7 p.m. CHANT411 Pie Night

7 - 10 p .m. Black Light Bash
HTC Center
Join the Office of Student Transitions & Family Programs, the Office of Student Activities & Leadership,
and the Coastal Activities board for a black light bash where everything is glow in the dark! Food will be
there, too! Make sure to bring your CINO Card (student ID).

The rink will be open from January 15-18, 2021. Skating sessions are approximately one hour with final admission at 7 p.m. Admissions is free with your CCU student ID and skate rental is included. No advanced sales. Attendees are required to sign a waiver for themselves and any minor attending. 
3:30 p.m. The Amazing Race: CAB Edition
Join us and test your knowledge about Coastal history by participating in this scavenger hunt. The starting point can be anywhere on campus, all you have to do is text the designated number for your clues and you will find your way. In order to participate, please register HERE. The first team to finish will win a prize. 
7:30 p.m. Virtual Escape Room

Markers will be available for each member of Teal Nation to leave a message of hope as it relates to Marting Luther King, Jr., his legacy and the 2021 theme. These banners will be available for several hours each day and will be displayed on campus for all to view and reflect on the messages as we all continue to work for equity and justice.

6 p.m. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Keynote Address with Dr. Betina Love, “Living a Hip Hop & Abolitionist Life Resistance, Creativity, Hip Hop Civics Ed, Intersectionality, & Black Joy”

Dr. Love will discuss how Hip Hop Civics Ed, when linked to the framework of intersectionality and Abolitionist Teaching ,creates a space where Black lives matter and analytic sensibilities are nurtured to engage youth in the work of fighting for visibility, inclusion, and justice. Her talk will end by calling for us all not only to teach students about racial violence, oppression, and how to make sustainable change in their communities through innovative and radical civic curriculum, but also to expose youth to the possibilities that come with envisioning a world built on Black joy, creativity, imagination, boldness, ingenuity, and the rebellious spirit and methods of abolitionists.
