Biography

George serves as a Digital Learning Systems Administrator with the Coastal Office of Online Learning. Having lived in the Myrtle Beach Area for the majority of his life, George is a proud alum of Coastal Carolina University, where he earned his Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Instructional Technology, Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Instructional Technology, Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Training, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Interdisciplinary Studies.

George has also completed certifications as a Microsoft Innovative Educator, as well as completion of the Apple Teacher Program for iPad/iOS. He also serves as the Conference Technology & Equipment Coordinator for the Association Supporting Computer Users in Education (ASCUE) and serves as a Peer Reviewer for the E-Learning and Digital Media International Academic Journal. He also enjoys being able to directly work with faculty to help facilitate their learning of new technologies, especially those who have never used technology in their teaching. When George is not at work, you may find him working on old computers, as he loves to refurbish and upgrade old computers, or spending his evenings gaming.

Primary Tasks

Provides primary front-end support and training for Moodle, Zoom, MacOS/iOS devices, YuJa, and other instructional technologies
