Official Transcripts

***ALERT: On Sunday, April 13th, 2014 from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am (eastern), the eSCRIP-SAFE system will be offline for scheduled maintenance.

Requesting an Official Transcript

Official transcripts are available in the following formats:

STANDARD SERVICE - Paper format, printed on security paper (either mailed first-class or picked up in-person at the Office of the Registrar during regular business hours). This is the slowest method, which requires the student to manually complete and submit a paper Transcript Request Form However, by utilizing this option, the student can receive up to six transcripts per calendar year free of charge. Each transcript ordered after the original five will cost $5.00 (payable in advance to the Office of Student Accounts).  Requests are typically fulfilled and sent out the next business day.

ENHANCED SERVICE - Electronic (Secure PDF) format, ordered through the Transcripts-On-Demand system, and delivered to any email address you specify or to any school on the eScrip-Safe Network.

  • PDF transcripts are produced faster than paper transcripts and sending a PDF transcript will eliminate mailing time.
  • Each transcript ordered and delivered via this method will cost $3.00 (for the Transcripts-on-Demand service).
  • An additional feature of this service is that you can attach up to 5 additional documents to your electronic delivery.
  • Before placing your order, please ensure that the receiving institution will accept your transcript as a secure PDF document.

ENHANCED SERVICE - Paper format, printed on security paper (ordered through the Transcripts-On-Demand system and delivered by the U.S. Postal Service’s Express Mail). Each transcript ordered and delivered via this method will cost $3.00 (for the Transcripts-on-Demand service) plus the cost associated with the express delivery method you choose ($19.95 for domestic; $34.95 to Canada; $44.95 for all other international).  Note: this is not overnight delivery service – please visit the U.S. Postal Service’s website for further information regarding the transit times associated with Express Mail.

ENHANCED SERVICE - Paper format, printed on security paper (ordered through the Transcripts-On-Demand system and either mailed first-class or picked up in-person at the Office of the Registrar during regular business hours). Each transcript ordered via this method will cost $3.00 (for the Transcripts-On-Demand service).

 

Transcript Request Options:

Current students, and students who have recently left and still have an active WebAdvisor account:

Electronic (Secure PDF) Transcripts and Paper Transcripts (with Express Delivery)
From your WebAdvisor account, select the “Transcript Request – Electronic or Paper Express Delivery” menu, which will take you to the eScrip-Safe Transcripts-on-Demand ordering system.

Paper Transcripts (with standard first class delivery, or to pick up in-person)
From your WebAdvisor account, select the “Transcript Request – Standard Service” menu, which will bring up an official transcript request form. After completing the form, it must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

  • The completed form may be mailed, faxed, or “scanned and emailed” to the addresses indicated at the top of the form.
  • If you plan on picking up the transcript in-person, that must be indicated on the completed form.
  • Transcripts will not be released to anyone other than the student, unless the student specifies the individual picking up the transcript on the completed form.
  • All transcripts picked up in-person will require photo identification before being released.

 

Former students, who no longer have an active WebAdvisor account:

Electronic (Secure PDF) Transcripts and Paper Transcripts (with Express Delivery)
Follow this link  to the eScrip-Safe identify verification site. Once you have established your identity with their service you will be able to place your order.

Paper Transcripts (with standard service first class delivery, or to pick up in-person)
Follow this link  to bring up an official transcript request form. After completing the form, it must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

  • The completed form may be mailed, faxed, or “scanned and emailed” to the addresses indicated at the top of the form.
  • If you plan on picking up the transcript in-person, that must be indicated on the completed form.
  • Transcripts will not be released to anyone other than the student, unless the student specifies the individual picking up the transcript on the completed form.
  • All transcripts picked up in-person will require photo identification before being released.

Former USC Coastal Carolina College students:

    • If you attended or graduated from Coastal Carolina College (prior to Summer II 1993), your official academic record is maintained by the University of South Carolina. Please follow this link to access their transcript ordering web site.  For additional questions, please contact USC at (803) 777-5555.

     

     

    Additional Information

    • Phone Requests and requests typed out by email, etc - All requests for Standard Service transcripts must be made in writing due to the need for the student's hand written signature and date on the transcript request. Therefore, requests cannot be made by telephone, or by typing out the request in an email. Standard Service transcript requests must be made by completing the Trascript Request Form, which can then be mailed, faxed, or scanned and sent as an email attachment.

    • Picking up transcripts in-person - All transcript releases require the individual picking up the transcript to present photo identification before the transcript will be issued. Transcripts will not be released to anyone other than the student, unless the student has preauthorized the release to that person in writing.

    • Checking the status of Standard Service transcript requests - Students can logon to WebAdvisor and check the status of a requested Standard Service transcript using the 'Transcript Request Status' option. Note: Enhanced Service transcript requests automatically generate status notifications to the email address the student provides.

    • High School Transcripts, Transcripts from other institutions, Placement Test Scores, Standardized Test Scores, etc. - The university is not the originator/administrator of record for those documents, so they are not able to be furnished. Please request those documents from the institution/organization that originally issued them.

     

    Unofficial Transcripts

    Students can access their unofficial transcript via the 'Total Course / Grades Listing' option on WebAdvisor for Students. Students can also request unofficial transcripts from the Office of the Registrar.

    All the above information for Official Transcripts pertain to unofficial transcripts also. However, if you are making a request for an unofficial transcript, please indicate so on the transcript request form.
