Tenth Annual Beach Birdie Classic

On Friday, March 26, 2021 the Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation and Sports Management (RSM) students will host the tenth annual Beach Birdie Classic at the Hackler Golf Course at Coastal Carolina University. The event includes golf, games, drinks, a silent auction and prizes.

Organized by students enrolled in the course RSM 490 Program and Event Planning, the Beach Birdie Classic utilizes experiential learning to educate students and prepare them for the recreation and sport industry. In addition, through marketing, sponsorships and partnerships, the event raises funds for the RSM Scholarship, which is awarded to a CCU student majoring in recreation and sport management.

To maintain social distancing protocols established by Coastal Carolina University, we are not conducting a shotgun start, instead we will be issuing tee-times. You will be sent a subsequent email containing your tee-time for the event. If you have registered a foursome we will send you the tee-times for your whole foursome, ensuring you’ll be playing together. Tee-times begin at 7:30am and run until 12:00pm.

Registration begins at 7:00 AM at The Hackler Course. If possible, the range will be open depending on weather conditions.

A meal will not be provided, but the Hackler Grill will be open.

  • Tournament Format - Best Ball Scramble.
    • Playing in foursomes
    • Each group is responsible for maintaining their score and turning in their card at the end of the tournament to have their score counted.
  • Raffle Prizes - Purchase your tickets and deposit them in your desired prizes before the tournament begins.
