The officer was near a subject who had an odor of marijuana emanating from his person. The subject was asked about marijuana and admitted to possessing said narcotic. The subjects backpack was searched, an alcoholic beverage was located and the subject was determined to be under the age of 21. The narcotics were seized and the subject issued a citation and released at the scene. This case is being forwarded to the Dean of Students Office for review.
