When the officers attempted to interview the driver, the driver accelerated into the apartment complex nearly striking one of the officers. The driver drove through the parking lot at a high rate of speed and struck six other vehicles before parking. The officers pursued and located the driver. The driver was interviewed and given an opportunity to attempt FSTs. The driver was not able to successfully complete the FSTs. The driver was issued citations, taken into custody and transported to a breath testing facility. The breath test confirmed that the driver was over the legal limit. The driver was transported to the Horry County Detention Center. A Collision Report is being completed. The vehicles were towed. |
