Time: | 0343 | Officer: | Todd | Type: | Traffic stop - DUI, simple possession of marijuana, open container | Location: | Hwy. 501 and Wild Wing Blvd. | Description: | While on patrol a CCU DSP officer observed the subject vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed (confirmed by radar)and stopped the vehicle to investigate. While interviewing the driver the officer was able to observe what appeared to be an open container of alcohol and marijuana in the subject's vehicle. The officer requested that the subject attempt SFSTs. The subject was not able to successfully complete the SFSts and was taken into custody. The subject was transported to a breath testing facility and the contraband in the vehicle was seized. The subject refused to submit a breath sample was issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. The vehicle was towed. |
