Officers observed the two combatants and separated them upon arrival. One subject had to be controlled by three CCU DPS officers. The subject and the victim were identified and interviewed. Both the subject and the victim described the incident for the officers and the facts of both statements were essentially the same. The subject had damaged the victim's vehicle when they entered the parking area. The two had then exchanged words with the subject being the aggressor in the incident. Witness statements corroborated these descriptions of the incident. The subject had made a threatening comment to the victim that involved a reference to a gun. Officers questioned the subject about possessing weapons. The subject admitted to possessing weapons. The subject's vehicle was searched and a handgun and knife were discovered. The subject was issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. |
