Time: | 0206 | Officer: | Dale | Type: | DUAC | Location: | University Blvd. and Hwy. 544 | Description: | While on patrol a CCU DPS officer observed the subject vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed (confirmed by RADAR) and stopped the vehicle to investigate. THe driver was interviewed and was unable to produce a driver's license. During the interview the driver admitted to smoking marijuana. The officer requested that the driver attempt SFSTs. THe driver was not able to successfully complete the SFSTs. The driver was taken into custody and transported to a breath testing facility. The driver's breath sample confirmed they were over the legal limit. The driver was issued a citation and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. |
