The officers met with University Housing staff already at the scene. The staff member explained that during a health and safety check they had observed possible marijuana in the subject apartment and requested CCU DPS. The subject was located and interviewed. The subject admitted to using marijuana and to possessing another controlled substance. The subject provided two pills to the officers and described them as Xanax. A search was conducted and paraphernalia was discovered during the search. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. A warrant will be sought for the controlled substance. This incident is also being referred into the Student Conduct process for the University. |
