The officer and the subject had encountered each other earlier in the night and the subject had been advised to remain in their Residence Hall due to their earlier actions. The officer interviewed the subject and determined they were underage and in possession of alcohol. The subject advised that their ID was in their apartment. The officer escorted the subject to their apartment to retrieve the ID. At the apartment the officer observed marijuana in plain sight. The subject admitted to possessing the marijuana. The subject was taken into custody, issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. While on the scene the officer observed a false ID that the subject admitted to possessing. University Housing staff were notified. The contraband was seized. |
