The officers met with University Housing staff and then made contact with the subjects. Officers were able to observe the odor of marijuana from outside the apartment. The seven subjects were interviewed and consented to a search. Three of the subjects indicated that a fourth subject was in possession of marijuana. A search revealed marijuana, paraphernalia, controlled substances without a prescription and alcohol. The contraband was seized and the subjects were issued citations. One subject was transported to the Horry County Detention Center with a hold for a warrant the other two were released at the scene. This incident is also being referred into the Student Conduct process for the University. |
