Time: | 1407 | Officer: | Kessler | Type: | Wanted person - unlawful possession of a firearm, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest | Location: | 669 Hwy. 544 | Description: | While on patrol a CCU DPS officer observed the subject known to be wanted on a warrant near the Circle K. When back-up arrived the officers made contact with the subject and interviewed them. When the officers confirmed the subject was wanted the subject attempted to flee and physically resisted arrest. The subject was controlled and placed in handcuffs. During an inventory of the subject's vehicle a loaded handgun was discovered.The subject was transported to the Horry County Detention Center and further warrants will be sought. One officer was injured and was transported to the Conway Medical Center for evaluation. |
