Undergraduate Programs in Education and Social Sciences

The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences faculty facilitate undergraduate pre-service teaching programs in the areas of early childhood education, elementary education, middle level education, special education, and physical education. Each of these programs prepares candidates for initial South Carolina licensure.

For those students who are interested in teaching math, science, English, and social studies at the secondary level (9-12), the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences offers the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree program. This is a graduate level program that provides an avenue of entry into the teaching profession through graduate study. Like the undergraduate programs, the Master of Arts in Teaching program prepares candidates for initial South Carolina licensure.

An undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Geography can lead to many different career options. Graduates are immediately hirable in industries such as heritage tourism, Cultural Resource Management, GIS, environmental science, and museums.

Political Science is one of the most diverse academic disciplines you will find, having practical implications for you: a diverse field of study gives you more options for study, more options for graduate school, and more career options. 

The Sociology Bachelor of Arts degree program provides students with a solid background in traditional areas of sociology, including course work in social problems, sociological theory, social structures, the individual in society, and research methods in the social sciences.
