Tuition and Fees


2017-2018

Undergraduate Tuition per semester *

Full-time Students (12-18 credit hours)

  • In-state: $5,600
  • Out-of-state: $12,936

Part-time (11 credit hours or less)

  • In-state: $469/credit hour
  • Out-of-state: $1,075/credit hour

Graduate Tuition per semester *

  • In-state: $576/credit hour
  • Out-of-state: $1,041/credit hour

* Tuition costs include required technology fee: $90 for full-time students, $5 per credit hour for part-time and graduate students.

Please note: Expenses for books are NOT included in tuition cost.

***The Board of Trustees has approved in-state tuition rates for out-of-state students for Distance Learning Courses only during the summer sessions. Students who were enrolled full-time during the Spring 2018 semester (undergraduates: 12+ credit hours; graduates: 9+ credit hours), or students who have applied, been accepted and have made all required deposits for the Fall 2018 semester are eligible to receive this rate. This includes Maymester, Summer I and Summer II classes.

Financial Responsibility: By registering for classes at Coastal Carolina University, a student accepts full financial responsibility for payment of tuition, fees and all other related expenses. If the student fails to make timely payment, his/her account may be referred to a collection agency, and he/she will be responsible for reimbursing the University for the collection agency's fees and all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, incurred in such collection efforts. A student is bound by these policies for the duration of his/her enrollment at Coastal Carolina University and until all final charges are paid in full.

Meal Plans


2017-2018

Residential Meal Plans per semester

A residential meal plan is required for all first-and second-year students living on campus for fall and spring semesters. For more information on dining visit www.coastaldine.com.

$1,850 - Unlimited Meal Plan: Unlimited access to Hicks Dining Hall, UP Dining, Chauncey’s Choice; plus 14 Meal Swipes per week to be used at CINO Grille, Hackler Grill and C-Stores; $200 Dining Dollars. 5 Guest Meal Swipes. Late Night Access to Hicks Dining Hall (Thursday–Sunday, 11 p.m.–2 a.m.).

$1,625 - Basic 21 Plan: 21 Meals Swipes per week to be used at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille and Hackler Grill. $100 Dining Dollars. No guest meal swipes. No late night access.

$1,675 - 225 Block Plan: 13 Meals Swipes per week to be used at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille, and Hackler Grill. $250 Dining Dollars. 5 Guest Meal Swipes. Late Night Access to Hicks Dining Hall (Thursday–Sunday, 11 p.m.–2 a.m.).

$1,525 - 150 Block Plan: 9 Meals Swipes per week to be used at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille and Hackler Grill. $400 Dining Dollars. 5 Guest Meal Swipes. Late Night Access to Hicks Dining Hall (Thursday–Sunday, 11 p.m.–2 a.m.). (Not available for first-year students in University Housing)

Commuter Meal Plans per semester

Commuter Meal Plans available to students not required to have a residential meal plan:

80 Block ($775 per plan): 80 Meal Swipes to be used during the semester at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille and Hackler Grill. $240 Dining Dollars.

50 Block ($575 per plan): 50 Meal Swipes to be used during the semester at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille and Hackler Grill. $200 Dining Dollars.

30 Block ($385 per plan): 30 Meal Swipes to be used during the semester at Hicks Dining Hall, Chauncey’s Choice, UP Café, CINO Grille and Hackler Grill. $155 Dining Dollars.

ABOUT DINING DOLLARS
  • For use only at one of CCU's on-campus food facilities.
  • Pay as you go.
  • Work like a bank debit card.
  • Make a purchase and the total is subtracted from the balance in your account.
  • Expires at the end of each semester; any unused balances will be forfeited.
  • Dining Dollars not the same as CINO Cash.
