Arakas plans to attend graduate school to earn a master’s degree in fine arts in painting.
Ashley Arakas was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She attended the Academy for Arts, Science, and Technology and graduated as Most Artistic Senior from Myrtle Beach High School. She won best in show for three-dimensional work in the Horry-Georgetown County High Schools Annual Juried Art Exhibition in 2011. At Coastal Carolina University, Arakas majored in art studio to hone her painting skills through advanced coursework and a dedication to her craft. She is a member of the Eta Sigma Gamma honor and leadership society. She continues to create commissioned works and participates in both invitational and juried exhibitions. Arakas plans to attend graduate school to earn a master’s degree in fine arts in painting.
