Applying for a CCU Faculty-Led Program

In order to be considered for admission and participate in a CCU faculty-led program, students need to provide the following required application materials and meet the eligibility requirements outlined below. To apply for a program, students need to complete the online application hosted through CCU Terradotta (login instructions found below).

Required Application Materials

Students will need to submit the following materials as part of the application process. Please refer to the online applicaiton for full instructions.

  • Passport Copy (Students must have a valid passport or have applied for a passport by application deadline)
  • $30 non-refundable application fee confirmation
  • $300 deposit confirmation
  • Program Evaluation
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • Statement of Purpose (two-pages, double-spaced, typed) explaining why the student would like to study abroad in the specific program. Students should include in their statement the reasons why a specific program and course(s) were chosen, prior travel experience (if applicable), how the program will benefit the participant in relation to future goals, and what makes the applicant a good candidate for the study abroad program.

Eligibility Requirements for CCU Faculty-Led Short-Term Programs

To be considered for admission to CCU’s Short-Term Study Abroad programs, students must be in good academic standing, meet the course prerequisites, and hold a cumulative collegiate GPA of at least a 2.5 at the time of application. Additionally, students must be at least 18 years or older by the departure date.

New freshmen interested in study abroad must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative high school GPA, and new transfer students must have a minimum cumulative collegiate GPA of 2.5. 

Several of the programs have additional eligibility requirements. Students are encouraged to visit the program’s webpage and reach out to the program leaders for more information.

Logging into CCU Terradotta (Online Application System)

To start and application or to login to their account, students need to click on "Student Login/REGISTER" located on upper right hand side of the CCU Terradotta homepage

To login, CCU students login using their CCU Username and CCU password.  Your CCU Username is the first part of your CCU email address (e.g. jsmith). Do not use "g.coastal.edu".
