(3) (Prereq: ARTS 103, ARTS 104, ARTS 105, ARTS 111, and ARTS 112) (Coreq: ARTS 297*) This course is an introduction to conceptual art-making through the evaluation of the collaborative art process, analysis of visual culture, and the preparation of life as a creative professional. Students of this course will be expected to create conceptually driven collaborative works, learn and incorporate advanced critiquing skills, and create a professional identity. This course must be taken concurrently with ARTS 297. (*ARTS 112 can be taken concurrently with special permission by the instructor.) F, S.

What research has led to this request?

ARTS 297 is no longer a required course in the Visual Arts curriculum. As it is no longer required or offered, it needs to be removed as a Co-requisite for ARTS 298.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

It will allow students to progress through the programs offered in the Visual Arts.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

None.
