Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

The research that led to the change in the photography curriculum changes that started in Fall 2020. Minor was not updated at that time.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

The addition of ARTS 262 will have a positive effect in that it will attract a broader range of students and increase enrollment as well as prepare them for more modern tools and ways of creating work. Also this impact was considered in the original curriculum changes of 2019, and the minor was not updated at that time.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

None

If NO change in cost is anticipated, how is this possible?

Financial costs were already considered with the Photography curriculum changes that were effective Fall 2020.

Changes to Catalog description Complete the following courses: Choose one of the following courses: ARTS 261 - Introduction to Black and White Photography (3 credits) or ARTS 262 – Introduction to Photography (3 credits) Complete the following course: ARTS 361 - Intermediate Photography I: Monochrome and Concepts (3 credits) Choose three additional photography courses at the 300 level or above (9 credits) ***Due to problems with the form I am also attaching the updated catalog description below under "Additional attachments"
