What research has led to this request?

This course expands ANTH/GEOG's upper-level course offerings in Geography and strengthens the Minor in Human-Environment Geography.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

This course has broad interdisciplinary appeal, and several programs have expressed their interest in including it as an elective, including ANTH/GEOG, the Human-Environment Geography minor, the Cultural Heritage Certificate, the Peace and Conflict Studies minor, the Asian Studies minor, and Political Science and Intelligence and National Security Studies.
