Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

Surveys of the freshmen engineering science students shows that they have wide ranging interests. Therefore, we need to increase the number of concentrations that they can choose from. The engineering science program currently offers only one concentration: Physics. We wish to add another: Civil.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

Students will have more concentrations to choose from.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

This courses will be taught by a faculty member and will count toward their normal teaching load. There will be no additional costs.
