Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

Students in the MTM program are from a diverse set of backgrounds. Some have previous music performance experience while others are enrolling in the program to develop their engineering and technical skills. The proposed program changes allow for new coursework better suited for the non-performance students, as well as addressing a missing course for the program objective "Provide students training in live sound design."

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

We believe these changes will result in higher enrollment for the program as well as providing new classes in subject areas previous students requested.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

No extra anticipated costs

If NO change in cost is anticipated, how is this possible?

The music department currently employs faculty that can teach these new classes
