“Flooding and the Future of Horry County,” a panel discussion and community forum

Flooding can effect our businesses and community in many ways.

The campus community is invited to a panel discussion and community forum titled “Flooding and the Future of Horry County” on May 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Johnson Auditorium (Wall 116). Special guest Paul Gayes, executive director of the Burroughs & Chapin Center for Marine and Wetland Studies, will assess the pros and cons of various flood mitigation strategies. Panelists – comprised of residents of areas hard-hit by flooding – will discuss the impact of flooding on their communities and address concerns regarding flood response and mitigation.
