New sidewalks make CCU a more pedestrian-friendly campus

Sidewalks were installed around both sides of Chanticleer Drive last summer. A small portion of sidewalk was added along the drive into the dormitory area near the guard house. "Memory Plaza" and additional sidewalk improvements were added to Prince Lawn. Pavers may be purchased to remember a person or event at the plaza, which also provides a restful place to relax. The first paver has been purchased and should be installed soon honoring Alpha Delta Pi sorority. A sidewalk extending from Humanities, behind Prince Building to the sidewalk near the Science Building was also completed, along with a sidewalk along the Chanticleer Drive side of Wheelwright Auditorium.

Recently, sidewalks were installed along University Boulevard near the main entrance, and near the Student Health Services building. A walkway is also being constructed at the parking lot end of Atheneum Hall leading to the Williams Brice building.

Infrastructure improvements are ongoing to make Coastal a pedestrian and bike traffic friendly campus.
