Campus families enjoy Christmas tree lighting

Approximately 80 Coastal Carolina University faculty and staff members kicked off the holiday season at the annual Christmas Tree lighting on Dec.1.

President David A. DeCenzo led the festivities. The Coastal Carolina University Chamber Choir performed carols, and the children were invited to encircle the tree so it could be lit "magically" (and it worked!).

The children made and decorated postcards to Santa and put them in a special mailbox for the North Pole. Then they got the chance to meet with Santa (our own Dan Lawless), who gave out gifts. There was hot chocolate, cookies, cupcakes and chocolate fondue.

A Merry Christmas to all!
