Sanders to lead Jackson Family Center

Sara Sanders has agreed to become the new director of the Jackson Family Center for Values and Ethics for 2011-2012.

Sanders will replace Professor Claudia McCollough, who helped originate the Center and has served as its only director since its creation. McCollough will continue her work through Aug. 15, and Sanders will begin her appointment as the new full-time director on Aug. 16.  McCollough has agreed to act as a consultant to the Center throughout 2011-2012. 

In recent years, several national searches have been conducted to identify an external candidate for this position, but, so far, no suitable candidate has been successfully hired. It is hoped that this internal appointment of Sanders will mark a new stage of development for this important center and provide continued stability following McCollough’s departure.
