Luken weighs in on Venus flytrap poaching

Jim Luken, CCU biology professor and director of graduate studies, was interviewed recently for a media story that ended up in a YouTube video on the poaching of Venus flytraps, one of his areas of expertise.

Three people were arrested and charged with digging up 200 of the rare plants in Brunswick County, N.C. They reportedly told wildlife officers they planned to sell the plants for 10 cents apiece.
