Samaritan's shoe drive under way at CCU
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has partnered with other Big South Conference Institutions in efforts of collecting athletic shoes (new or used) for victims in Haiti. There is a drop-off location in the Athletic Administration Building and at every athletic home event.Those interested in donating may also text CHANTI to 85944 for a $5 donation that is applied to your cell phone bill.
Cari Rosiek, who oversees SAAC, says about 300 pairs of sneakers have been collected so far, while 164 pairs have already been delivered to Haiti. The shoe drive will continue until May 29.
