Two win awards in Media Service

Daniel Hucks and Andrew Roth received Media Services awards for their outstanding work and customer service.

Hucks, an audio/visual specialist in media service, won the award for Outstanding Customer Service. “Daniel always goes the extra mile to help everyone; he always has a positive attitude,” said David Parker, director of media services. “He volunteers for extra assignments. He’s dependable, skillful and determined to figure out how to get the job done. He is well liked by everyone and a very valuable asset to Media Services and CCU.”

The award for Creativity and Innovation went to Andrew Roth, a student worker in media services.

“Andrew has been with media services as a student worker for more than two years, but we think of him as a full-time staff member,” Parker said. “He can fix anything, and he’s creative and determined enough to make anything work. He’s quick to make ideas a reality because of his great attitude and eagerness to take on any assignment.”

The awards were given during the University Communication departmental retreat on June 19. Parker presented the awards with Coastal Carolina University’s President David DeCenzo and Executive Vice President Edgar Dyer in attendance.
