Ever wonder the secret to achieving your New Year’s resolutions? During this training session, in collaboration with Carrie Green’s “Programming your Mind for Success” TedXManchester video, we will discover and discuss a four-step process to program your mind for success. We will explore, create and apply goal-setting, visualization and positive self-thought strategies to achieve personal and professional success.

Mistakes Managers Commonly Make

This session is organized into common mistakes that all managers make, regardless of years of experience. A manager’s job is tough, but is it made tougher by failing to provide clear direction, failing to get to know employees as people or not trusting people to do their jobs? This session will focus on the values, sensitivity and awareness managers need to interact effectively with their employees.

Circles of My Multicultural Self – NEW!

Time: 3 to 4:30 p.m.

What are the dimensions of your identity? Is this important for your own self-awareness? How do cultural identities impact your relationship with others? In this session, participants will examine their identity markers and reflect on how these may or may not influence interactions, judgments and decisions.
